A bit about me:
Hi, I’m Jo. I’m an artist & educator based at the end of the world in lutruwita/Tasmania.
Working across painting, installation, text, and digital design, my arts practice draws on the human condition - though often through the guise of animals and non-human characters - to explore the complexities of our inner worlds.
This site is my little place to share some of what I do. Enjoy!

With qualifications in Fine Arts, Design, History, and Education from the University of Tasmania, Jo Soszynski has taught in schools and higher education facilities both in Australia and abroad. Her work is regularly exhibited in Australia and held by private collectors in Australia and Japan.
Working under multiple guises, Jo’s wide-ranging arts practice draws on the human condition to explore subjective constructed realities and the complexities of inner worlds.
Her work oscillates between the diverse chasm of emotional experience. From the joyful escapades of her murals to her poignantly melancholic sculptural work - and all that lies between - Jo is an artist who celebrates what it is to be human.
